Letters, 1892-1897.

Letters from Thomas Wentworth Higginson to his secretary Grace Reed concerning his health, time spent with his wife Mary Potter Thatcher Higginson, and his daughter Margaret Waldo Higginson, and the progress of his regimental histories. The letters also give Reed instructions for her work. In addition, a letter from Henry Graves about an exhibition at the Royal Academy in London.

Higginson was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on December 22, 1823. He was a descendant of Francis Higginson, a Puritan minister and immigrant to the colony of Massachusetts Bay.
